Request a correction
Use Private requests and select Scientific correction. Give the exact URL, statement at issue, reason, a verifiable supporting source and suggested correction. For privacy, copyright or urgent safety use the corresponding request type. You may use the email in Contact and Operator Identification if the form is inaccessible.
Editorial handling
An editor checks the source and evidence classification. Material errors may lead to a dated correction, clarification, change in evidence level or retraction. Preserve an intelligible revision history without unnecessarily repeating harmful claims or personal data. We distinguish new research from an error in the original report. A complaint or vote is not proof that a scientific claim is false.
Follow-up and review
Keep the private case reference. We communicate our decision using the contact supplied where possible and explain significant public corrections on the affected article. Use the review option if relevant evidence was overlooked. We do not promise a particular scientific conclusion.
